Learn the basics of pet portrait painting in pastel. The instructor will teach the fundamentals of pastel blending techniques with specific focus on fur and features such as eyes, nose and mouth. At the end of the course, the student will learn how to paint confidently in pastel medium, and have a greater appreciation for realistic animal portraits.
All participants will receive high quality products consist of pastel, paper, and blending tools to bring back after the workshop.
Rachel is a fine artist with over 15 years experience. She has worked with Faber-Castell and led exhibitions sponsored by the National Arts Council, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore University of Social Sciences, National Institute of Education and Yishun Community Hospital. In the recent years, she has been honing her skills in pastel painting and discovered her love for painting animals. Since then, her pet paintings have been commissioned for home decor, keepsake or as gifts.
