About the Workshop:
It’s Sakura season! Join in to paint delicious cherry blossom-themed donuts with food illustrator, Drawplet! This session will focus on ways to create scrumptious-looking textures and gradients with the appropriate techniques. Meanwhile, fundamentals such as basic light & shadow theory, and watercolor application techniques (eg. wet-on-wet, flat wash, layering) will also be explained; with additional tips to make your artwork pop! There will also be a complementary guide-sheet (with pictures + description) for you to bring home!
What is included in this Workshop:
All participants will receive high quality products consist of watercolor paper and other painting tools to bring back after the workshop.
About the Artist:
Lenard Lai (aka Drawplet) is a “hungry artist” and a watercolor teacher who specializes in food illustration. He boasts a wide portfolio of realistic food paintings because he believes that food is a universal language across all communities. The name “Draw-ple-t” is an abbreviation of “drawing-people-together”. Drawplet was founded in hope to use art as a medium to connect people, to help us realize that we, like tiny droplets, have the potential to create huge ripples of positivity to those around us and beyond!
